Yesterday the Mission-based blogging platform Posterous announced its acquisition by Twitter in an email to users. News of the acquisition has been circulating since last week, but the terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Posterous users should expect a few changes. Users with a custom Posterous domain will receive special instructions as the company moves to a new domain partner. Here’s Posterous’s acquisition FAQ.
