A visit to Tartine Bakery this morning led to a pleasant sighting of what I’ve decided to call post-modern reading. While enjoying a steaming hot bowl of what looked like a latte or cappucino, a customer took an iPad, let the screen rest on its stand and then put a paper magazine over it. It seemed like a much smarter way to enjoy a cup of coffee than what I did which was to order a pain au chocolat and a cup of coffee to go.
