It’s a cold morning — currently 41°, headed toward 68°, says the Weather Channel. Here is the 10-day forecast.
We usually reserve this space to highlight reader-submitted photos, but sometimes Google Maps gives us the best slice-of-life photo. The one above was taken near Bartlett and 23rd streets.
From the Mission police station’s website we learn about a possible case of animal cruelty here in the Mission. At around 1:34 p.m., officers responded to an animal cruelty call on the 100 block of Albion Street:
Upon arrival they quickly realized the suspect had thrown a dog out of a window from three stories up. Animal Care and Control took custody of the dog and the suspect was arrested for Animal Cruelty and booked into county jail.
More crime news; it is that kind of day. Carlos Guzmangarza, 49, the alleged fake doctor who is being accused of performing illegal liposuction operations out of his Mission Street office, has more trouble on his hands, the Examiner reports:
The San Francisco resident was arrested in late December on suspicion of performing nightmare treatments without a license on a female patient and her daughter. He has pleaded not guilty to a litany of felony charges. But during a court hearing Tuesday, prosecutors introduced a third accuser who claims Guzmangarza groped her during a shady exam.
To reflect additional charges Guzmangarza faces for the third allegation, a judge increased his bail by $110,000 to $860,000, prosecutors said. He remains in custody.
Have a good day!
