I think you may want to reconsider your choice of sponsors. Remember the old “King Hotel” between 17th and 18th on Valencia? Well, I do. It was an SRO hotel until a fire gutted it some years back. When it re-opened, it was named the “Tropicana” and marketing and renting to tourists. This is a flagrant violation of the City’s Hotel Conversion Ordinance. Precious affordable, rent-controlled units were permanently removed from the market in order to milk the tourist dollars. Might be a good story to cover actually…
