Happy Monday everyone! It’s 7:30 a.m., 44° and headed to 56°. Details for the next 10 days are here.

We start this rainy Monday with a look back at yesterday’s game. Mission Loc@l reporters were out yesterday interviewing 49ers fans and watching the game in different spots throughout the neighborhood. We all thought it could happen, but now that the 49ers are out, who will the Mission support? The Patriots or the NY Giants?

The Ross Mirkarimi case continues, with some saying that the recently sworn-in sheriff, who is accused of domestic violence, should step down. The Chronicle reports

“If he is currently under investigation, he should step aside on disciplinary actions while there’s a cloud over him,” said law enforcement accountability expert Sam Walker, professor emeritus of criminal justice at the University of Nebraska.

The concern, said Walker, is that the sheriff is in the position of judging allegations of employee misconduct while he himself has been accused of wrongdoing. At best, that creates an awkward situation, and at worst, the sheriff’s own circumstances could weigh on decisions of employee discipline — intentionally or unintentionally.
