At around 5:30 p.m., neighbors reported hearing four or five shots fired on Shotwell Street at 24th. Police responded immediately. No ambulances were present at the scene and it appeared that no one was arrested, neighbors said.

Neighbors saw two men running away from the scene. Police searched the backyard of a house at 1051 Shotwell, which appears to be vacant. We will update this story as we receive more information.

  1. Where do these thugs live? Who feeds them? Where to they get the drugs they sell, and to whom do they sell them? To what extent are they “just a part of the community” and tolerated, or even celebrated, because of the cash they generate? Can their community survive economically without them? Is there no way to expunge their criminality, and other serious issues, from the Mission, absent a demographic shift? When will we stop being so embarrassed and answer some of these questions which everyone asks?

    1. Good- that’s the only way things change…people getting involved.
There’s nothing good about two people running around with guns…
