A man was found dead under Highway 101 on the morning of Dec. 24 after being hit by a car, police said.

According to police reports, a vehicle drove onto the island underneath the highway at Potrero Avenue and Cesar Chavez at around 8:30 a.m., struck the man and then fled. Bay City News later reported that the suspect in the hit and run was arrested.

A 25-year-old man was stabbed in the upper left area of his back at around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. The victim was walking along 26th Street near Harrison when the suspect approached and stabbed him. The victim, whose injuries were not life-threatening, was taken to San Francisco General Hospital.

Police reported that a 37-year-old woman was robbed at 16th and Mission streets at about 11:45 p.m. on Saturday. The suspect, a 44-year-old man, approached her and demanded money. He fled on foot but was later identified and taken into custody.
