Tomorrow is the 10th Anniversary of 9/11, in case you haven’t heard. But a series of city sponsored events start today and extend through the weekend. The big morning event is at 11 a.m. at the Civic Center Plaza in a ceremony for San Francisco firefighters and police officers. Nancy Pelosi and other public officials will give reflections. There will be a 1 p.m. observance at Castro and Market streets and another at Opera in the Park at Sharon Meadow at 2 p.m.

Yesterday was also the anniversary of the San Bruno blast that killed eight people. Regulators commemorated by issuing new rules to PG&E regarding requests to increase pipeline pressure.
