Nudists beware, if Supervisor Scott Wiener’s proposed legislation is approved, you may be required to cover up or put a towel on a public seat when eating at restaurants. The Bay Citizen reports “He said the idea for the ordinance came after he received numerous constituent complaints and saw some of the unsanitary behavior himself–particularly in Jane Warner Plaza and elsewhere in the Castro, which is part of Wiener’s district.

“One would hope we wouldn’t need to legislate this, but people aren’t doing it,” he said.”

Also, today is spare the air day. No, there won’t be any free rides but you are encouraged to use public transportation. Bay City News writes “Air quality is expected to be unhealthy again in the Bay Area,” air district executive officer Jack Broadbent said in a statement. “Hot temperatures and tailpipe exhaust contribute to unhealthy smog so it is important that we all reduce our energy use every day and take precautions to protect our health.”
