Beware public transit commuters: The BART protest drama marches on.
Hacking group Anonymous says they will protest for the fifth time at 5 p.m. Monday and plan to protest weekly until their demands are met. The group is asking that BART disband its police force, fire its spokesperson and re-open an investigation into the shooting of Charles Hill — a homeless man shot by a BART officer that set off this bout of protests.
The number of protesters has varied over the weeks, though most protests have included arrests. Last Thursday, more than 30 were arrested, including handcuffing and detaining almost a dozen journalists covering the event. BART temporarily shut down Powell station during the last protest.

I’ve heard this one before. There are many reasons why this approach has not worked and OpBART or Anonymous or whomever they are this week doesn’t seem to understand any of them. They say the best definition of mental illness is to do the same thing over and over and expect different results. Apparently, many within Anonymous feel the same way – perhaps you should listen to your colleagues folks.
