Rumblings of more protests from BART officials, so you might try walking home if you work downtown and leave around 5 p.m. Protests earlier this month shut down BART for at least two hours.
The San Francisco Chronicle writes today about Anonymous, the hacking group behind the protests. The group says it will continue until BART officials acknowledge they did SF wrong by cutting off cellphone service at four stations on August 11 to avert a planned protest. How do we know BART’s made amends? It fires Linton Johnson, a BART spokesman, writes the Chronicle.
For this week’s segment of 60 Seconds, Mission Loc@l asked residents about BART’s decision to cut off cellphone service and their views on the protests. They weren’t happy.
