How is that a dis-incentive to a thief?
stop posting bullshit about “Crime!” bla bla bla, crime this, be careful of that, most dangerous this, most dangerous that. how about talk about the real issues that affect our community and the people who have lived here for DECADES and maybe why some people do commit crime or only have limited options that give you limited resources…brain power, duh! sheitt
ok, well here’s something that isn’t a crime but is a real issue that does affect our community, including those of us who’ve lived here for decades

Battery is not bullshit. Battery is what helps keep the wards full at SFGH. Battery hurts when it is a bottle to the head or a knife to the back. Anybody who has lived in the mission for DECADES will know that battery cannot be explained away by saying the perps have limited options.
funny, I just posted another stats piece this morning that includes Mission street, but only by individual blocks

and yes, I saw the prostitution area of Capp, looking at the DBF files but 16th and Mission is really really high up there
You need to be more careful with words. Don’t say “a majority” if the number is 35% or “most of them” if it is 18%.
