It’s been a while since Food Not Bombs threw a free concert in Dolores Park with Sleater-Kinney as the headliner, but the 30-year-old organization is still handing out soup every Thursday at 7 p.m. at the 16th Street BART plaza, and at other times and locations all over the world.

The all-volunteer global movement collects surplus food from grocery stores, bakeries, markets, local farmers and (sometimes) dumpsters, and shares free vegan meals as a protest against war and poverty.
