Protesters marched through the Mission District Sunday during an anti-war demonstration sponsored by the United National Antiwar Committee. The march ended at Dolores Park, where supporters gathered for two hours to listen to speakers from various human rights organizations, including women’s rights activist Malalai Joya. The former member of the Afghan parliament is an outspoken critic of U.S. military action in Afghanistan.

Sunday’s march and rally was attended by 3,000 people, according to the UNAC website.
