An attempted robbery took place on 20th and Guerrero this morning, according to police.

Around 2:30 a.m., a suspect with a gun approached two men and demanded their property. The victims refused to comply. The suspect walked over to a waiting vehicle — a recent-model, two-door black Honda — and drove away.

A few minutes later, a 39-year-old woman was robbed on 22nd and Dolores.

She was approached from behind by a man who demanded her property. She complied, handing over her purse, wallet, laptop, cellphone and iPad.

The suspect then proceeded to flee in a car that the woman described as a “dark two-door compact.” She described both suspects as men between the ages of 20 and 25.

When asked whether or not the two incidents are related, SFPD spokesman Lt. Troy Dangerfield said, “It’s possible. But it can’t be confirmed at this point.”

  1. 2 “hispanic males” not just 2 males. Why does MissionLocal have to white-wash their news with political correctness. I prefer to know the facts of the matter that are available. Give us readers some credit that we’re not going “oh see all hispanics are armed robbers.” This is just so dumb and is obviously poor reporting. The age, the sex, the ethnicity. These are all important facts about the assailants.
