The Board of Supervisors will accept over $3.25 million tomorrow for the renovation of the 30-year-old Dolores Park playground.

The Friends of Dolores Park Playground and the Mercer Fund organizations will provide the funds, raised through donations and the 2008 Park Bond Measure, to the city’s Recreation and Parks Department to rebuild the children’s playground.

The project includes installing brand-new playground equipment as well as benches and sculptures.

The supervisors’ acceptance comes on the heels of the failing grade given Dolores Park by the Neighborhood Parks Council earlier this year.
