Saturday Art Market at the Blue Macaw

Every Saturday the Blue Macaw on Mission Street opens its doors to vendors who sell vintage or artist-made crafts.

Jennifer Meyer, an artist who organized the mart, said 400 to 500 visit on Saturdays.

Meyer’s shirts, which she’s sold since the market opened nine weeks ago.

Roger L. Moore makes items that resemble breakfast foods.

Kalli Chapman sold her earrings for the first time on Saturday.

Prices range from 50 cents to $500. These went for $5 to $15, depending on the size.

  3. In case anyone with a table at the show is still wondering what caused the power outage, there is an article explaining it all on this site ( http://missionlocal.org/2010/08/power-outage-on-mission-street/ ).

    Turns out it was caused by balloons.

    Thanks for disabling the power to every cash machine in a million block radius with your shiny metallic balloons, kid.
