The fight that broke out between 20 young men and ended with a man shot in the leg on Sunday on 24th and Shotwell is believed to have been part of an ongoing civil war between Norteño factions, a source said.

The man shot in the leg, known to friends as “Pee-Wee,” was taken to a hospital, where he is recuperating, police said.

The Gang Taskforce is investigating the shooting and no arrest has been made as of Tuesday, said Officer Boaz Mariles.
