Two stabbings took place early Saturday morning and later that night a liquor store was robbed. No arrests have been made in any of the three incidents.
The first stabbing on 24th Street near Balmy Alley involved two men known to have had a long-standing dispute, according to police. At 1:36 a.m. one of the men approached the other and stabbed him with a knife or possibly a machete.
The victim was taken to SF General Hopsital and is in stable condition.
The next stabbing happened a few minutes later at 1:50 a.m. on 24th and South Van Ness streets. The victim got into a physical fight with the suspect and was stabbed once. The suspect fled on foot and the victim was transported to a local hospital with a life threatening injury.
Later that night at 11:48 p.m., a male suspect with a shotgun entered Fred’s Liquor store on the corner of Valencia and Duboce streets and robbed the cashier at gunpoint. The suspect took the cash and ran. The owner declined to talk about the robbery.
