It was a parking lot, but things change. Leather Tongue closed, a building was constructed here, and streetscape improvements are ongoing, widening the sidewalk and adding new trees.

Nearby Farina Focaccia Cucina Italiana plans to open what they will call Antica Pizzeria Napoletana here. It will serve upscale neapolitan-style pizzas.

Construction, which has been ongoing for about a year, should be complete this summer, in July or August, according to Michael Lopez, in charge of creative services to Farina.

On Wednesday, carpenters were working on the windows, which will be large.
