To amend the minimal public transportation options in Mission Bay, local businesses and UCSF have joined forces to run shuttles within the neighborhood and from Mission Bay to BART stations at 16th Street, Powell Street, and Embarcadero, as well as the 4th and King Caltrain station.

The shuttles are free to everyone, though the private operators reserve the right to restrict use and check ID. Routes and schedules can be found on the Mission Bay transportation Association website here.

Commercial and residential property owners in Mission Bay are footing the bill, according to the organization’s transportation consultant, Wendy Silvani.
