Did you feel it yesterday? A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck the Bay Area morning. But the real story is that before the quake was even over, at least 1,042 people had already tweeted “OMFG it’s an earthquake AAAAAHHHHH”

But the real story today is about color palettes. Burrito Justice and Mission Mission point to the paint job on the new building going up/Walgreens at Mission and Cesar Chavez. I’m no expert on color, but the whole scheme makes it look like a giant king cake to me.

The Bay Guardian Off-Guard Awards don’t really have anything to do with the Mission, but I thought they were funny. Especially the Glenn Beck reference on page 4.

But with smartphones and taco trucks, this new iPhone taco truck-locator app does. I guess you could use it for street food carts too, right? Check Cyrus Farivar’s interview with the app creator to find out, among other things, that LA has an estimated 14,000 taco trucks. Something’s got to make LA worthwhile, right?

And last, a pair of photos from CALIBER shooters Troy Holden and Julie Michelle, of a lonely chair in the empty gas station at 23rd and Valencia, and the tagged-to-hell-and-back bathroom in Double Dutch.
