…And the weather report for today is still awful. Hey, anyone remember what the sun looks like? Maybe we’ll be surprised though.

A car chase that started in the Mission ended in Golden Gate Park when the driver, 36-year-old Barron Cusick got out of his car and fled into the park, COPS-style. Wet weather + city traffic + driver gunning it at all costs = a miracle no one was seriously hurt.

For those of us without cars (or bikes, or in some cases umbrellas) Muni Diaries points out a new Muni iPhone app, metroNOW. As some point out, I wonder how it compares to Routesy? Any thoughts out there, anyone? (Disclaimer – I don’t have an iPhone or ride Muni so I wouldn’t know. That’s why you need to tell me.)

While reviews are all over the place on Whiz Burger, (I have no real opinion, but am simply glad it exists) this photo by sirgious is one of my favorite views of the place.

On the other side of the Mission, Kevin Montgomery brings an update on a mini-makover of Dolores Park by local group Dolores Park Works. Also, I know I don’t get most things, but what does the license plate “SMF PAPI” mean?

This is something I do get: The San Francisco Mixtape Society is holding it’s first get together/mixtape mixup at the Makeout Room on Sunday the 31st, Mission Mission reports. Get your best tracks together and indulge in your old memories of making a mix tape or two, (or three, or four…hey, does anyone still have a cassette player?)

Oh, and the theme? “Cities vs. Towns.” Go.

The SF Underground Farmer’s Market has announced the location of it’s second event, at Capp and 17th. SFoodie has the details, reservations required. Hey, you didn’t think it was open to the public, did ya?

Last, over at The Bold Italic, Reyhan Harmanci puts together her perfect pho, cobbling together bits and pieces from all over the city, including Mission establishments Sunflower (veggies!) and Evergreen (broth!) Perfect for a rainy day.
