I’m sure you’ve been feeling that winter chill the last few weeks, but winter doesn’t officially start until tomorrow!

If you can’t wait, check out the “Electric Sun” winter solstice gala today from 2 p.m. to midnight at 2150 Folsom St, between 17th and 18th. Looks like there will be plenty of art, films, dining and dancing. The event suggests a $10–20 sliding scale, but the SF Bicycle Coalition will be on hand with free valet bike parking!

While you’re gearing up to hop on your bike, make sure to throw on your favorite ugly Christmas sweater (hurry, they’re going fast!), deck your ride in some lights and tinsel and meet up with the SF Bicycle Coalition for their sixth annual Christmas Lights Ride at 6:30 p.m. at the Panhandle Statue on Fell and Baker.

If that’s not enough biking for you, Streetsblog SF brings us good news from the mayor’s office: The 2010 Sunday Streets dates and locations are up! Be sure to come out and stroll, roll or do just about anything in the Mission on June 20 and July 11.

Enough with the bikes and on to four-wheelers: I’ve seen plenty of tacky cars, but this Mission Mission sighting sticks it to all the rest.

Here’s a good use of stickers at La Taqueria, on the other hand, thanks to dtetto.
