Moving on to music news tonight SFJAZZ launches a series of club shows in the Mission District that will feature young jazz musicians paying tribute to their influences. The series called Hot Plate begins with a performance by Terrence Brewer, who will be performing a tribute to six-string icon Wes Montgomery. The show starts at 8 p.m. Sept. 10 at Amnesia, 853 Valencia St (between 19th and 20th).
