For my first Sunday Mission Walk I headed out with Oakland North’s (and former Mission Loc@l reporter) Steve Saldivar. Because my eye is usually drawn to how beautifully people are dressed it made sense to give this week’s walk a focus on fashion.
There’s no better place to start on a bright and hot Sunday afternoon than Dolores Park. People were out looking beautiful and both ladies and gentlemen were really basking in the hot weather–donning their best summer gear. We ended up on Mission Street where the sentiment continued; dress like it’s summer. Check out some of my favorites in the photo slideshow below.
This is great! I took a walk to Bob Mungle’s Barbershop last week, and dragged Bernie along in the hopes that Bob could do something about how her eyebrows go all the way up her forehead. Anyway, there sure were a lot of people out. It was 10am on a Tuesday — why isn’t everyone at work! My theory is that that’s when people buy their underwear. You don’t want anyone to see you doing it so you wait until everyone’s looking away, and then you sneak out to get panties! And that’s the story of the last time Bernie ever saw her mother.
