Well, looks like most bloggers have taken off for the Memorial Day weekend, so it might be a slow one for Today’s Mission for the next couple of days.

What is not slow is the Mission District itself today and tomorrow, as we celebrate Carnaval. Be sure to attend the parade tomorrow morning and if you weren’t able to make it, check out Mission Loc@l’s photos from the festival today on Harrison St here.

Also worth checking out is the Jennifer Applebaum exhibit tonight at Receiver Gallery on Valencia Street.

Armand is a photojournalism and multimedia student at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, and is originally from Baton Rouge, La. His work history includes being a paper pusher in Los Angeles and a youth program coordinator in Ramallah, and is currently a student editor at Mission Local, which means he gets to read a lot of news and tell people what to do.
