On May 8, Mission High School students had a conversation about race and stereotypes in a class run by Jennifer Colker, a Peer Resource Coordinator.   UC Berkeley undergraduates moderated the dialogue. It was the final one in a weekly series started in mid-April, but it is just the beginning of the project led by Raymond Leung, Geoffrey Williams and Guadalupe Jasso.

Their mission is to promote understanding by bringing people from different San Francisco neighborhoods together for community service projects in each others’ neighborhoods. Leung, a 27-year-old Chinatown resident, graduated from Mission High.

  1. Thank you Mission Loc@l for covering our story!

Mission Loc@l has given me a whole different perspective of the Mission District, sides that I do not see just by walking down its streets.
