Police reported early this morning that at 2:13 a.m. they responded to a call about a burglary in progress on 27th Street just east of Guerrero on the same block as St. Luke’s Hospital. “Noises and running sounds could be heard inside a building under construction,” police reported.
At the site, one suspect then attempted to flee the area by running along the rooftops. “It appears the suspect injured himself in the process and hid before a US Park Police dog located him,” police reported. A second suspect ran out of the site and into police custody.
“As the investigation continued, officers located a 4-year-old male child who may possibly be related to the suspects,” the report said.
The child was taken to San Francisco General Hospital.

Minor correction: the 100-block of 27th St is actually on the west side of Guerrero, in Noe Valley. The east side (towards St Luke’s) has addresses under 100.
27th Street WEST of Guerrero, mid-block, north side. One block west of St. Luke’s Hospital.
