The ban on foie gras goes into effect on July 1, so Mission Local went out and asked residents to tell us what they think about it.

I think its wrong for the state to tell us what we can and cannot eat. I’m a big girl I can make that decision on my own. Its up to me as a consumer to do my research and decide was is ethical and what is good for me. I personally love foie gras and make sure when I purchase it its not from a trust worthy farm. I agree with the guy that was interviewed last. Tyson Chicken, Foster Farms, McDonalds, KFC will probably never be banned even though their products are loaded with growth hormones and the living conditions for the animals are horrible.
It is disgusting to abuse animals for our “pleasures”. I am so happy and I hope that those who break this ruling get severely punished.
