This is part of a display of photographs hanging around a tree on Alabama Street. All of the people in the photos look unfailingly nice and like exactly the sort of people you would like to meet, on this street or any other.

A  sign on the tree says:

We dedicate this tree of life to Gary, our friend, neighbor, and family member. We miss and remember him and other loved ones who have died. With the nurturing of this tree, the Alabama Street neighbors strengthen our bonds, building a community based on trust, respect, concern, and safety. As we care for our tree, we care for each other.
