Weekend Crime Recap: Cyclist Involved in Hit & Run

Two suspects stole a man’s laptop computer on Thursday around 7:30 p.m, according to Police. The first suspect approached the man from behind on the corner of South Van Ness and 23rd Streets and struck him without provocation. The suspect shoved the victim, causing him to fall. The victim then released his laptop to the suspect who fled to an awaiting vehicle driven by the second suspect.

Both suspects are described as men between the ages of 18 and 25. The car involved is described as a Black Dodge Charger.

A 24-year-old man suffered serious injuries after he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle.

The vehicle struck him in the intersection of 25th and Bartlett around 12:20 a.m. Saturday and fled northbound on Bartlett. The victim was transported to SF General Hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries.

There is no description of the suspect and the vehicle is described as a tan or gold newer model four-door. Police are asking witnesses with any information to call the anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444.

Two suspects broke into a 59-year-old man’s apartment shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday.

The victim awoke to a noise in his apartment. The two suspects were surprised when the man found them and fled with the victim’s backpack containing various items.

No arrests have been made. One of the suspects was described as a female of unknown age. The description of the other suspect is unknown.
