Today is another showdown at the Board of Supervisors meeting. They will vote on an item to allocate some $8 million that could save the paychecks of some 500 city workers.

The Supervisors plan to do this despite an announcement from the controller’s office that the city has no money. The board and the mayor initially agreed to make these cuts during the summer to balance the city’s $6.6 billion budget, the Chronicle reports.

health workers.

When the board initially voted on this item two weeks ago, it failed by one vote. The city attorney has advised the clerk of the board that the proposal drafted by Supervisor Chris Daly needs a two-thirds vote. Daly disputes this, telling the Chronicle’s city insider that his stance is “incorrect.”

Also on today’s meeting, our Supervisor David Campos is going to introduce a resolution that will support the Mexican Museum’s funding. Mission Loc@l will be there.

Moving on to food.

Café Arguello is no more. Mission Mission reports that the Spanish food place on 2832 Mission St. is closing and will be replaced by Rosamunde Sausage Grill.

This will be Rosamunde’s second location; the first one is on Haight St. Judging by the Yelp reviews this might be good news for food aficionados.

They have 4 one-half stars out of five, from 850 reviews.

According to Arguello’s website, it is a family restaurant that originally opened on Valencia Street in 2000 and moved to the location on Mission Street in 2006.

The Arguello family moved to the Mission District in 1962. Opening that restaurant was a “life-dream” the restaurant’s About section reads. No word yet on the family’s plans.

And speaking of vacant places. Remember where the Pink club on 16th and South Van Ness was (the pseudo-classy place with a disco ball on the window and where artist M.I.A played a couple years ago)? Well it closed sometime in January and now it is the SOM-Bar, which opened on Halloween weekend. Follow them on twitter.

Gone are the days of Pink club.

The Pink club on 16th street and South Van Ness was cited for rodents on Nov. 12 of last year. The violation is considered low-risk because there is “No Active Population/Rodent Proofing.” The city recommended they construct and maintain a food facility to prevent the rats from coming in, according to City-Data.com.

It is unclear if their closure had anything to do with the citation. After all, they had a 98 rating from the department of public health. Their last dance was on Jan. 3 and the admission was free.

And right next to it is a vacant building where Fairway Market was until it closed this summer. Across the streetis the Jeep Chrysler dealership that closed in November of last year. Happy anniversary.

I could not get a hold of the agent, but the number is 415-865-6106 if you are interested in this place.

If you move there, your neighbors would be these guys:

7×7 Magazine gives us a taste of a show by Dan Wold and Tommy Sheppard called Stateless. The performance is, “hip-hop mixed with… vaudeville?” Go figure. The show runs through Dec. 6 at the Jewish Theater on 470 Florida St. There is a Jewish theater in the Mission? Go figure.
