At a Mission community meeting with law enforcement and city officials last night, the mayor‘s chief of public safety, Steven Betz, floated the idea of expanding the cityโs pilot RESET center to other neighborhoods, where sheriff’s deputies can hold people using drugs until they sober up. Residents’ reactions, reports Oscar Palma, were mixed.
