Well, the contract for OpenGov, Mayor Daniel Lurie‘s controversial permitting software, got extended today—after the Board of Supervisors voted to shave $11 million and 2 years from the deal. Brandon Pho reports that the supes, concerned with OpenGov’s poor performance, also added a provision giving them the option to terminate the contract without needing to prove a breach or wrongdoing.

Sad news: Felicia “Opi” Oprah Freeney, a Bayview-Hunters Point resident who fought for the closure of juvenile hall, has died at 22. Andrea Jimenez writes that Freeney, who spoke movingly about her experiences inside Juvi to the Board of Supervisors in 2019, will be honored by them today.

A judge threw out all charges against 18 people arrested at the “Stud Alley” party during Pride Weekend, reports Frankie Solinsky Duryea. After reviewing police documents, the judge found insufficient facts to justify the charges.
