Here is a fun shot from Lands End that I took over the weekend.

Dear readers:

It’s Tuesday, and guess what? If you’re vaccinated and outdoors walking, riding your bike, or running, San Francisco says you can shed your mask!

Yet people still seem to be wearing them outdoors… Read our latest story below to hear from a few residents talk about why they have decided to stay masked-up or rip it off.

State agrees with CDC to ditch masks outdoors, but locals are still hesitant

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has told the fully vaccinated that it’s okay to forgo the mask outdoors, and California and San Francisco said the same on Monday.  But residents here still have mixed feelings about letting go of the masks they have been wearing for more than a year.

It’s easy peasy to get a vaccine in the Mission District

Appointments are available and vaccines are free throughout the Mission. Already, 63 percent of the residents in Mission have been vaccinated, putting the Mission at 13th of the city’s 38 neighborhoods.

Once fully vaccinated, residents can walk outside without a mask, the San Francisco Department of Public Health announced Monday.

COVID Tracker: 36,201 cases, 537 deaths
