Today from Mission Local

Good afternoon!

Well, there’s plenty of election analysis out there, but Joe Eskenazi nicely sums up the San Francisco results: “We’re living in Daniel Lurie’s America.” Read what the mayor’s landslide victories say about the city’s changed political landscapeโ€”and what they mean for his campaign to consolidate even more power in November.

And see all our detailed San Francisco coverage, with maps breaking down the results of races for School Board, District 2 supervisor, District 4 supervisor, the S.F. congressional race, and Propositions A, B, and C and D.

Mission Local staff worked hard covering this election, and if you read through their live reporting from across the city, you’ll find more insights, great quotes, and some gems of political wisdom.

Perhaps my favorite: Oscar Palma interviewing Diego Guzzi, aged 3, outside the polling station at the Garfield Park Rec Center. ‘”Who are you gonna vote for?โ€ I asked Diego as he picked some yellow flowers for his mom. โ€œThere are flowers flying on space,โ€ Diego said with a smile.’

Final results for statewide races will be coming along in the next few days.

More soon,

Sara
