Good afternoon!
Mayor Daniel Lurie signed legislation today banning RVs from parking more than two hours on city streets. The plan offers some housing subsidies and a limited buy-back program, but leaves 600 RV dwellers without subsidies.
At least two people arrested by ICE last week at S.F. immigration court have been sent to a federal prison in Hawaii. One was a man the judge believed might be mentally impaired and unable to understand the proceedings.
We continue our reporting on rookie supervisors with D9 Supe Jackie Fielder, a progressive willing to compromise. So far, Fielder has sponsored an ordinance lifting the cap on shelter stays for homeless families, and introduced 12 “feel-good,” non-binding resolutions.
