Today from Mission Local

Good afternoon!

ICE arrested three people at the S.F. immigration court today—including one who had already booked a flight home, and was planning to leave with a “voluntary deportation” order.

With just over a week to go before the special recall election, D4 Supervisor Joel Engardio is going door-to-door in his district, seven days a week—and so are his opponents. Junyao Yang is on the ground with the door knockers.

A flock of 75 runners darted through the Tenderloin last night, dodging traffic and sidewalk drinkers in the neighborhood’s first-ever 5K running event. Eleni Balakrishnan reports on the “coexistence of worlds.”

More soon,
