A team led by Will Jarrett worked for months on today’s project – documenting every police shooting since 2000. It’s a great piece of work. As you can see we have scanty personal information in some cases so if you have some, please send it to us at will@missionlocal.com.

Explore: Every person killed in SF police shootings since 2000
At least 14 percent of people shot and killed by police in San Francisco were homeless, a group that makes up less than 1 percent of the city’s total population. This means that law enforcement has shot and killed homeless people at a rate at least 15 times higher than the overall population.
