Good morning!

Despite the state’s recent surge in Covid hospitalizations and deaths, the city’s Department of Public Health is closing its six community vaccination sites. The Latino Task Force, which runs two sites in the Mission, says it will try to continue with support from UCSF and private donations.

It was standing room only last night at El Rio for the first debate among candidates for D9 supervisor. Heckling was kept to a minimum, but the six candidates sparred over the fentanyl crisis, the mayor, and the Gaza ceasefire resolution.

Recently arrived immigrant families are running out of shelter options, and the city says it doesn’t have the resources to help them. A group of families working with Faith in Action went to City Hall to ask for hotel vouchers.

More soon,

Sara
