Good afternoon!

The Board of Supervisors voted 7-4 today to make sweeping changes to the city’s municipal codes, despite objections that the ordinance, sponsored by Board President Rafael Mandelman, is too broad to be covered by a single vote. Kelly Waldron writes that some supervisors were also concerned about wholesale changes to reporting requirements.

Organizers of the Trans March met yesterday with Mayor Daniel Lurie to present demands related to the SFPD‘s presence and arrests during Pride weekend. Annelise Bowers reports that organizers want the city to replace police officers with “civilian traffic management” at the march.

Potrero Hill Terrace and Annex, built in the 1940s and among the last public-housing projects in San Francisco, are finally being demolished. See the story by Marina Newman, and the amazing photos from Thomas Hunter II, who’s spent nine weeks documenting the process.
