Good afternoon!

It was supposed to be a quiet Friday night, but then we got word of a fire across from Trick Dog on 20th Street. Chuqin had just gotten home after posting a late story on a hearing earlier this week. Nevertheless, she did a quick turnaround and got to the scene where she discovered a dramatic rescue story.

George Lipp, a community contributor, was on his way to the fire to snap some photos and ran smack into the aftermath of a shooting on 24th Street where someone was seriously injured. We hope the victim recovers and send our best to his family.

And today, a celebration at Parcel 36 was planned despite the ongoing tension with the nearby businesses. So, never a dull moment in the Mission.

Stay dry,

Lydia
