🍿 We’re partnering with the Roxie Theater for our next Member Meet-Up on Thursday, July 23!

Join us for a screening of REMAINING NATIVE at 6PM, followed by a free mixer at 7:30PM next door in the 518 space. Can’t make the film? You’re still welcome to join us for the mixer! REMAINING NATIVE is directed by 2023 MediaMaker Fellow Paige Bethmann and produced by Jess Epstein, BAVC Media’s Director of Strategic Partnerships & Development.

A coming-of-age documentary told from the perspective of Kutoven (Ku) Stevens, a 17-year-old Native American runner, struggling to navigate his dream of becoming a collegiate athlete as the memory of his great-grandfather’s escape from an Indian boarding school begins to connect past, present, and future.

The Popcorn List is an annual survey of acclaimed feature films recommended by film festival programmers across North America – not yet available in wide release.
