Galerรญa de la Raza presents a double feature exhibition ๐๐ฃ ๐๐๐ ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ช๐๐๐: ๐๐๐ง๐ค ๐ฎ ๐ผ๐ฅ๐ง๐๐ฃ๐๐ค – un homenaje a Rini Templeton and part 2 of ๐๐๐ ๐ผ๐ง๐ฉ๐๐จ๐ฉ ๐๐๐ช๐ซ๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐จ – featuring the work of Anna Colom and Nayeli Rosas.
About the exhibitions:
๐๐ฏ ๐๐ช๐ฆ ๐๐ฆ ๐๐ถ๐ค๐ฉ๐ข is co-curated with Ed McCaughn to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Riri Templetonโs passing through original prints from the portfolio of her work ๐๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ฆ ๐ฉ๐ข๐บ ๐ท๐ช๐ฅ๐ข ๐บ ๐ญ๐ถ๐ค๐ฉ๐ข (1985), created in collaboration with El Mixton. Her bold visual language of labor, struggle, and social justice is presented alongside works from 40+ artists responding to a call from Espacio Zapata based in Oaxaca โ continuing Templetonโs commitment to art in service of the people.
Part Two of ๐๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ ๐๐ฆ๐ณ๐ช๐ฆ๐ด features Anna Colomโs ๐๐ข๐บ ๐๐ฐ๐ธ, ๐๐ข๐บ ๐๐ข๐ต๐ฆ๐ณ and Nayelli Rosasโ ๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ณ ๐๐ฐ ๐๐ช๐ฏ๐ข๐ณ๐ช๐ฐ, two deeply personal projects exploring queer Latine identity, community, love, healing, and self-expression. Through portraiture, tattoo design, interviews, and storytelling, these works create space for visibility, bodily autonomy, gender affirmation, and belonging.
Together, these exhibitions remind us that art is resistance, empowerment, and a living archive of our community.
