A romantic ballet that tells the story of an innocent peasant girl who falls in love with a prince in disguise. After discovering the truth, the betrayal drives Giselle into madness and tragically dies of a broken heart.

Her soul is summoned into the Willis, a supernatural group of spirits who were wronged by the ones they loved. Prince Albrecht, remorseful and grieving, is caught by the Willis while mourning at Giselle’s grave and is forced to dance to his death, but is ultimately saved by Giselle whose love surpasses revenge and anger. During Albrecht’s trial, Giselle finds closure and is able rest in peace.”
