Community Music Center: MDYMP at Paseo Artístico

Musicians from Mission District Young Musicians Program (MDYMP) will join Paseo Artístico with a musical performance in the Calle 24 Latino Cultural District in celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the free bilingual artwalk.

Ten years ago, in 2016, Acción Latina and cultural community partners on 24th Street launched Paseo Artístico, the first family-friendly, bilingual community artwalk in the Mission District of San Francisco. With the intention to celebrate and promote the Calle 24 Latino Cultural District (formally recognized in 2014), Paseo Artístico became a major cultural activity in the Mission, uniting businesses, cultural arts venues, artists, families and community members, while building a powerful platform for Latinx artists development. In the past 10 years Paseo Artístico has presented over 2000 artists at 53 unique quarterly events. This October 10th Paseo Artístico will feature a Block Party on Harrison and 24th street with a live stage, a dozen cultural venues, multiple vendors, a dynamic line up of musical artists, DJs, painters, crafts, kids activities, community murals, dance performance, and poets who have performed at Paseo Artístico over the last 10 years. Invited artists for October 10 block Party include Inti Mystica, Agua Pura, Fogo Na Roupa, Sin Frontera Dreams, DJ Quest, Liliana Herrera, Mission District Young Musicians Program, Sew Frisco, and more! The event is free for entire family.

12pm: CMC Performance at 24th & Harrison Stage (in front of Temo’s Cafe – 3000 24th Street)
