Member Price:

We’re excited to welcome our friend and neighbor Raquel to our classroom. She’s the owner and baker behind Norte 54, a modern Mexican bakery. She creates beautiful conchas and desserts based on the traditions of Mexico with her own additions.

Learn to make traditional pan dulce using quality ingredients, seasonal ingredients, and simple techniques. First, Raquel will teach you an essential recipe: concha dough, enriched with butter. Next, we’ll use one dough to make three varieties of pan dulce: conchas, filled conchas, and ochos. You’ll gain an appreciation for “cafe con pan” or merienda, a Mexican tradition where you break bread and gather in community.

After this class, we hope you bake for your community and continue the tradition yourself!
