Good afternoon!

The S.F. Fire Department has quietly dropped its contract with non-uniformed peer counselors on teams responding to mental-health-related 911 calls, writes Annelise Bowers. City leaders didn’t seem to be aware of the change to the innovative program, which involved emergency de-escalation and post-crisis follow-up.

After the Supreme Court allowed the government to end Temporary Protected Status for immigrants from Haiti and Syria last month, more than a million other TPS holders who’ve been living and working here legally could lose their status. Clara-Sophia Daly talks with San Francisco immigrants who face losing jobs and homes.

Did you know San Francisco has wild clay hidden on its beaches? Artillery Ceramics is the only studio in the city that will take you there to find it. Their Clay Foraging Workshop is a one-of-a-kind outdoor experience โ€” forage wild clay, sculpt it into something handmade, and leave with a piece of the earth you made yourself. They only hold classes in the summer/early fall, so check out the next dates here to grab a spot!
