Queer leaders and S.F. politicians have blasted remarks made by congressional candidate Marie Huriabell as homophobic. Io Yeh Gilman writes that former ally Mayor Daniel Lurie, who was endorsed by Huriabell’s group in 2024, has condemned her attack on gay candidate Scott Weiner.

Budget cuts will restrict access to San Francisco’s Veterans Justice Court, which diverts veterans to mental health treatment instead of criminal court. Abigail Vรขn Neely reports on the impact.
